Oops...it's been a month...

Haha. I forgot about my blog for a month. Oops.

November has been absolutely crazy BUT now, I have a 4 day weekend!!!

I don't have much to say besides that I am a music geek. It's pathetic, really. Today, I went skating with my friends and we were having lots of fun, but just as they were about to go and watch GILMORE GIRLS (!), I had to go home because I had to go to a piano lesson. And you know what I had to bring to piano?? MY FRICKEN SAX. BECAUSE I AM PLAYING MY SAX AT THE PIANO RECITAL. AHHH. AHHH.

It was pretty funny though, because for like 10 minutes, my sax wouldn't work ( I had forgotten that all my reeds are dead except for one)...so I spent that 10 minutes searching for it as Earl gave me dirty looks.

I had my first exam this week. Well, it was only really part of an exam: module 1,2 and 3 essay question! Guess what it was?

Describe the effects of the fur trade.

The effects of the fur trade! I even had a mnemonic for that one. It was:

D
A
F
E
E
P
W

:)

But I'm going to lost a few percent because I crossed out 4 words. Great.

Besides that, nothing else really happened this week. Or last week. Or the one before.

OH, IT WAS ANNE'S BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY ANNE! :D

Yup, that's about it. It is now time for a cool picture.

Ahhh...summer....

Skating lately has been extremely weird. One day, my jumps will be amazing and the next they will SUCK. It's so strange and very annoying because I KNOW I can do the jumps, but on the sucky days, I just don't. Hopefully Saturday will be a good day. The judge at Cote St Luc on test day is EVIL though, so my coach pulled me out for my freestyle and skills tests...I'm going to wait until March I guess. BUT, I'm testing my American for the 5th...yes, 5th time on December 8...ahhh...

Ok, well I have to go and watch Grey's Anatomy now, even though I think it's going to be a re-run. Hopefully I will post again sometime soon....

Wilson:That smugness of yours really is an attractive quality.
House: Thank you. It was either that or get my hair highlighted. Smugness is easier to maintain.

I got a rock...

I love Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin with a passion. But I MISSED THE EPISODE THIS YEAR!! IT'S INCREDIBLY DEPRESSING.

Ok this is going to have to be another brief post...as I am falling asleep. I am actually getting sick because I'm so tired. Yes, sick. I now have a cold. Fun, isn't it?

Today was a ped day, but I still had to go to school for a jazz band rehearsal. It was fun...I stole someone's solo in 25 or 6 to 4 (the coolest song in the world)...long story there :)

In a few weeks we have a music recital...I have sooooo much to learn for that....I shall make a list:

1) classical solo
2) jazz solo which I got today
3) small group chamber music
4) whole group chamber music
5) whole group jazz piece
6) learn a piece by ear..somehow..called TENOR MADNESS by the way :D

Joy joy joy joy.

TOMORROW I HAVE SKATING and I'm oddly excited. My double loop has been crap lately but my double salchow is getting sooo much better that it's worth sacrificing double loop for.

I found out that for the Jr. Bronze freestyle test, I have to do a split jump. That is somewhat problematic. Actually, it is extremely problematic. My split jump is the crappiest thing ever. It's actually quite funny to watch me do, because I look so pathetic. :D

Alright...well that's enough for now...it's only 9:36 but I'm going to bed...I'm wayyy too tired to stay up any longer. Maybe I will have a piece of birthday cake first, though. :D

More to come soon.

OH! I ALMOST FORGOT MY POSTLY PICTURE!!!

HOW COOL IS THIS?? I AM GETTING TACKLED. IN A RUGBY GAME. I LOOK VERY VERY UNHAPPY. BUT IT'S STILL COOL. VERY COOL. I WOULD BE THE ONE ON THE BOTTOM. WITH THE BROWN HAIR. YUP! THAT'S ME.

Skitter with the Mice Mix B

Just dropping in...I don't have much time to write right now so I'll just be writing a mini-post...

Sooo...where to start?

Not much has happened since my last post, except for school of course. I HAVE A MATH TEST ON MY BIRTHDAY which is depressing...a science test this Monday and then another one on November 6, I just had a history test and now I have another one on November 1 and then ANOTHER ONE on November 13...yup...so that's all thats gone on...stress...

AND IN SKATING I learned double flip!!!! I can't do it for my life, but it's a lot of fun to try. So now, I have a consistent axel, a semi-consistent double salchow, a 100% sucky double toe, a not bad double loop and an interesting double flip :) Today in my lesson, I spend about 25 minutes straight falling, so I'm pretty sore...

I hate Quebec lately. In French, we have this assignment where every few weeks we have to read stupid L'actualité and write about 5 articles. I want to throw that magazine at someone's head (that is the extent of my violent thoughts...lol)!!! Its soooo annoying and incredibly separatist. I hate it. I think that my French teacher is trying to make us separatist people by forcing this separatist media on us.

(edited because I realized that I live in Quebec and people might become angry...very angry...)

OK well, it is now time for a picture to lighten the mood...

Ok, it is not letting me post a picture. SO I will save it for my next post. I will give you a hint, though, the contents of the picture begin with R.

Whoever gets it right gets a secret prize. You'll just have to wait to win to see what it is.

Well, I should be going now...Hopefully I will have more interesting things to say next time.

And now for some advertisements.

!!!!!!!!!COME TO BAZAAR ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!

That's all. :D

I babysat for 9 hours yesterday...

Yes, 9 hours. NINE HOURS!! I was soooo long and got really boring...

AND the parents of the kids didn't tell me what time they were going to get back at....so I was just kind of waiting for them to get home for NINE HOURS.

But I made some money which was good :)

And the kids are pretty self-entertaining so I don't have to do much when I'm with them!

Thursday was the cross country race! I did kind of badly...but that's because I hurt my knee in skating and was stupid enough to run on it. I should have stopped after the first lap of A, but I was too STUPID to, so I kept going. As soon as I got to the massive/huge/never ending/extremely inclined/full of leaves/death of me hill, my knee started to hurt a lot and I had to slow wayyy down to prevent myself from dying of knee pain. lol yes.

I'm really mad because I got 1 place worse than last year. BUT, if my knee wasn't bothering me during the race, I could have done SOOO much better, because I got WORSE than last year but on an injured leg....gr...grrr.....

And because of my stupid knee, I skated for 30 minutes on Saturday then got off the ice after my dance lesson because it was getting sore. My dance coach was getting annoyed with me because I couldn't really skate that well, but I was like "ITS NOT MY FAULT, I HURT MY KNEE!" and he was just like "Oh..."....he didn't care too much :P

I really have nothing to say here...but I decided I would post for the fun of it :)

I'm liking these smilies that I'm making :)

I'M EXCITED FOR HALLOWEEN!!!! I love Halloween...and pumpkins...and candy. I found out that on Halloween, I actually have a dentist appointment which I am not happy about...but whatever, it will serve them right for giving me an appointment on Halloween..I'll get my teeth cleaned and then eat chocolate and candy for a couple of hours :D

I'm not sure if I should go that night or stay home and dress up in a really corny costume (I've always wanted to put a sheet over my head and cut out eye-holes and be a ghost) and "scare" kids :D

Now, since I am running out of things to say, I will post my postly-picture!

OK I simply could not choose between a few. So I will post them all.

Me and Susie on SKI DAY!!! I love how you can't see my face...IT WAS SOOO COLD THAT DAY. It was also super windy...my skis were like flying out from under me...it was weird....

The following picture begins a list of things I must steal from Cecilia.

HOW COOL IS THIS??????AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

WOW LOOK AT THIS TSHIRT. IT IS THE COOLEST THING EVER. EVER. EVER.

Ok. Enough pictures. Hm....what to say? I don't know....ahh...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

There. That's something!

IT IS 7:26 PM!

There. That's something else!

The other day, Anthony (dance coach at skating) told me a really funny/ really not funny joke. So I will now post it.

Anthony: "Your leg is a major part of your body, right?"

me: "Um, sure."

Anthony: "So if you swing it through the right way, it will give you all the momentum you need and you won't have to go flying all over the place and lose control when you are doing the dance."

me: "Sure..."

Anthony: "So if you get the movement right, it will give you momentum ALL NATURALLY! Unless, of course, you have an artificial leg...in which case the movement wouln't be all natural.... HAHAHHAHAA"

me: "ok that wasn't funny...."

Ok that was the joke. Pretty bad. Not too funny...Sorry, I didn't do a very good job of entertaining you there. Ok I shall entertain you with one last thing...a quote! Signifying the end of my post! :D

Until next time...

Stupid French explorers...why did you have to make history so complicated with all your stupid explorations and all these stupid dates???

Ahhh. I'm studying for our module 1 history test and I'm mad at these French guys that decided to come here and discover North America. I hate learning dates. And now, because of Jacques Cartier and Giovanni da Verazzano and others...I have to learn dates...gr...all the dates sound the same...1524, 1534, 1535, 1541, 1542, 1608, 1666, 1663 ahhhh....too many numbers....and it's all basically Jacques Cartier's fault.

LOOK. I'M POSTING. I KEPT MY PROMISE. I'm actually very proud of myself. I am actually posting in this thing. And my blog has lasted more than a few days! And people are actually reading it! Except THEY AREN'T COMMENTING. Except for Anne of course :).

By the way, Anne, check your email, because I sent you something kind of important. Hopefully you will get it...I'll explain why later.

So...today, I woke up really early to go skating. I had a "OH MY GOD IT'S A BREAKTHROUGH" dance lesson with Anthony, and then did some super nice axels and then had a freestyle lesson. The problem was, I had skated for 2 hours straight before my freestyle lesson, so I had NO energy what so ever during my lesson, and my axels SUCKED and so did all my other jumps...my friend was like "I WANT TO SEE YOUR AXEL! I HEAR ITS GOOD!" and I showed her this pathetic, ugly axel after which I fell and spun around on my knees. I also tried some double toe loops and landed on my stomach, once on my massive bruise from doing double toe last week, and once on my elbow/knee...I kind of skinned my elbow!

Ahhhh...skating....how I love it :)

During skating, a song by the Beatles was playing...called "I've Just Seen a Face". I found it funny, because the chorus is:

"Falling, yes I am falling, and she keeps calling me back again."

And that applies so much to my skating it's not even funny. I am in a lesson, I take a leap of faith into the air, fall on my butt/stomach/knees/elbows and laugh at myself, then my coach calls me back to the boards while laughing at me to tell me why I fell. Yup.

Today, I also decided that in December, I'm going to test my Jr. Bronze elements, maybe Jr. Bronze solo, Sr. Bronze Skills, American Waltz (FOR THE FRICKEN 5TH TIME), Rocker Foxtrot, AND the Harris Tango..and pass EVERYTHING. SOMEHOW!!!! haha anyone want to keep me company on test day since I'll be at the rink for like 8 hours if I test all that???lol

I'm really annoyed at that movie called "Across the Universe". I've never seen it, but lots of Beatles music is in it, and now my grade is suddenly obsessed with the Beatles. I bet most of the people who suddenly became obsessed don't even know who the Beatles are...grr it's annoying...I know some of them aren't "fake" Beatles fans, but I feel like lots of them ARE indeed fake....meh this little "phase" will probably pass in a week or so...

Tra la la la laaaa.

I have so many postly picture worthy pictures. I can't choose which one to post for this post!

Well, I think this occasion calls for two pictures to be posted.

I took this in Paris...doesn't it kind of look like the Beatles' Abbey Road album cover???

I was planning on posting another picture here...but now stupid blogger won't let me!!!!

(I am quite enjoying using the word "stupid" in this post)

This past week, all the new TV shows started! So now, I will do a little mini review on the ones that I watched.

(LOOK AT THIS!!!!! I AM ACTUALLY GETTING IDEAS ON WHAT TO WRITE IN MY POSTS!!!)

HOUSE:

IT WAS AMAZING. House's team was gone and that was kind of sad, but House was as amazing as ever. He consulted a janitor guy and got in trouble for it...and his guitar was stolen which was pretty funny. Ok, that's enough about House.

PRIVATE PRACTICE:

This is Grey's Anatomy little spin off show. It was ok, much better than the preview that was shown last year, but I'm not sure it will last...I hope it gets better...I really don't like the new characters....

GREY'S ANATOMY:

It was really good and pretty funny, because the "interns" now are residents and have their own interns and are trying to be just like Bailey, who is, in my opinion, the best actress on the show. I feel so bad for George, who is an intern again...but I'm so glad he's still on the show!

Ok reviews over.

It is time for me to go watch some Gilmore Girls. I was working so much today and my time to be productive is over. Now I must rot my brain in front of the TV.

I'm running out of quotes.

Why did the chicken run across the road? There was a car coming.

Module 1 History Studying...

I promise I will post later today.

I really do.

For now, here is a quote to entertain you (stolen from Susie's tidbit)!

A proof is a proof. What kind of a proof? It's a proof. A proof is a proof. And when you have a good proof, it's because it's proven. --Jean Chretien

My dog is snoring.

And I am about to fall asleep on my computer.

Just thought I would say that THEY ARE FILMING/ WERE FILMING A MOVIE AT MY ARENA! It's a skating movie...no kidding....called The Cutting Edge 3!!!!Apparently, the arena is supposed to be in Washington, because all the cars parked outside it the other day had Washington license plates and there was a US Postal Service mailbox outside...and INSIDE, the Canadian and Quebec flags were replaced with a bunch of American ones! It's pretty funny...the movie people are pretty desperate to use the Cote St. Luc arena to film in....I think I might have walked through a rolling set actually....I was walking to my mom's car and walked right in front of a camera shooting a scene with a bunch of dudes on skateboards....oops :D

I skated today...it was fun...except now I'm super sore because I decided I was going to practice double toe loop...not a good idea!!! I was also doing brackets, and somehow my blades got stuck together and I took a pretty interesting/funny fall...my coach laughed at me...like usual!! haha but it was pretty funny because I fell out of nowhere!!!

Ok. So. I've decided that I'm going to include a picture with each post. Starting now.

SO HERE IS THE um....PICTURE OF THE DAY!!! Maybe I should call it a weekly picture. Because I don't post that often. Or maybe...the monthly picture...or the um...postly picture. There. The postly picture. That leaves me some lee-way (how do you spell lee-way??) in terms of when I post.

Here you go. This is a photo of me trying to break out of the school through the window. It was taken for a French project last year....or was it???? dun dun dun....

Ok well I'm going to go to bed before I fall off my chair and curl up on the floor and start snoring with my dog.

I'm worried about a little boy who sits in front of me at school. He cries every day. This afternoon I tried to help him. I whacked him one on the arm... There's nothing like a little physical pain to take your mind off emotional problems. -- Lucy Van Pelt
